Performance of the Cantata: Thessaloniki, A crossroad for Nations and Civilizations for 24 Centuries, composed by Marilena Zlatanou for the 100th celebration of the liberation of the city from Ottoman rule, for solo voice, mixed choir, strings and percussion.
In this cantata  some of the most decisive historical events and cultural elements of the city’s ancient and rich history are attempted to be incorporated in a musical form and given a musical expression.
It will be performed by The Thessaloniki Municipal Orchestra (Δημοτική Ορχήστρα Θεσσαλονίκης), a combined choir comprising of  Arkadiakoret, Coro Misto from Norway and the Choir of the City of Messolonghi from Greece (Χορωδία Πνευματικού Κέντρου Ι.Π. Μεσολογγίου) under her direction.
